The savory chicken, sweet balsamic glaze, and flavorful bell peppers in these Balsamic-Glazed Chicken Bell Pepper Sandwiches go so well together. Great for a quick and filling meal
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 sandwich buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper to create the glaze
Marinate chicken breasts in the glaze for at least 30 minutes
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat
Add marinated chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes per side
Remove chicken from skillet and set aside
In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and onions
Cook until softened, about 5 minutes
To assemble sandwiches, place a chicken breast on each bun, top with provolone cheese, and then add the sauted bell peppers and onions
Serve immediately and enjoy
