Ingredients:
- 2 cups sushi rice, rinsed
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Nori seaweed sheets
- Assorted toppings: sliced sashimi tuna, salmon, cucumber, avocado, shrimp, roe, etc
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package or use a rice cooker to cook the sushi rice
Put rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan and mix them together
Warm it up until the salt and sugar mix
Allow the mix to cool down
After the rice is done, put it in a large bowl and slowly mix in the vinegar mixture
Wait until its cool enough to touch
Make strips out of the nori that are about 5 inches long and 1 inch wide
Sprinkle a little sushi rice over each nori strip to make it even
Put the toppings you want on top of the rice
Put a small amount of water on the edge of the sushi roll to seal it
Do it again with the rest of the ingredients
Cut each roll into small pieces that you can easily eat
Put the sushi on a platter and serve
