Pesto Potato Bacon Pizza // shutterbean

Enjoy the delicious combination of pesto, sliced potatoes, and crispy bacon on this homemade pizza. The creamy cheeses and a touch of spice from red pepper flakes make it an irresistible treat

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 2 cups sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper for easy transfer to the oven

Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges

Evenly arrange the sliced potatoes on top of the pesto

Sprinkle the cooked bacon bits over the potatoes

Combine the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses, then evenly distribute them over the pizza

Season the pizza with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired

Drizzle olive oil over the top of the pizza

Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute

Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve hot
