Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined
Add the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt to the wet ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms
Fold in the salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough
Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form 1-inch balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet
Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a fork
Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cookie for an extra burst of flavor
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
