Things are just about ready for the crop, such an exciting time with Spring here and all the birds singing! a Garden Party, couldn’t be better to get us in the summer spirit.
I am not sad to see winter leave us, mind you I don't like the 40’ weather and the humidity that August brings us, but it is much better than the snow!
We have a ton of beautiful birds around the shop, from Robins to blue birds. Nests all over the place, I really love this time of year.

What an adorable line of paper and goodies for us to create beautiful memories of our 4-legged family members!! So colourful and bright! a must for any pet pages that you are thinking about creating, not just for cats and dogs either! birds, bunnies, horses and so on.
I have done 2 pages, one featuring the cat papers and the 2nd for dogs.
This is Harley, our newest addition. He is quite the handful, in to everything and terrorizes our older cat Riley! They snuggle and play and will spend hours cleaning one another.
Our dog Baillee, Kellee, Jake, Riley and Harley
Very sad to say that 3 of them are gone now, Kellee ( Dalmatian ), Jake ( red Mainecoon ) and Baillee ( Coonhound ) Baillee was our latest loss, at 17 he lived a wonderfully spoiled life! He enjoyed life and gave us nothing but unconditional love and acceptance. He is missed terribly, as are the others but his is more recent and the hurt and loss are still fresh.

Wow!! we had a wonderful time yesterday at the tray workshop!
We used a solo tray from 7gypsy, patterned paper pack was Authentique Classique Elegant.
We added some Tim Holtz metal, Bazzill cardstock “ Sea Water” and “Blackbird”. We made handmade roses, did lots of distressing, embossing, added bling, hat pins and tulle.
And to carry this beautiful tray home we made a bag using the Silhouette Cameo, Bazzill cardstock as well as the Sizzix Top Note die. To complete the look we made a paper rosette and added some twine, a pearl and a stamped sentiment.
Layout starring Winnie was such fun!!! We used the sewing machine as well as a bit of hand sewing for that vintage feel.
We cut the scroll border on the Silhouette, gathered some beautiful sheer ribbon, added some hat pins and hand made roses. I think the pointed paper ribbon added that “fun” element, celebrating how beautiful and how much fun Winnie was having in the leaf pile.

Well I don't know how you all feel but I am sick of winter!! it has been a long, white, windy, snowy winter.
As I am planning the Garden Party Crop in May, I thought today would be a great day to get out of the winter blah’s and create something that was bright, fresh and spring like. Plus it made me smile when it was done! lol
For this beauty, I used the Silhouette Cameo, this image is by Snapdragon Snippets and the paper is My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline and Bazzill cardstock in peach glow and patina.
The roses were cut using the Big Shot and the retired rose die, and my handy little quilling tool for the beautiful shape. Adding a little piece of sheer white ribbon made it a little more soft and romantic.
I’m going to use this at the crop where you will put your ticket stub in for the door prize! I can’t wait to make more spring crafts!! Mother Nature you need a holiday to somewhere far far away!
Thanks for stopping by….. Lee-Anne

Wow this has been a Christmas to remember! and now we are quickly approaching 2014. I can remember back in the day, our public school teacher asking what age we would be in the year 2000, and thinking that that was so far in the future it boggled our minds. Well here we are on the eve of 2014 and wow has the world changed since back then.
And for me the scrapbooking world has also change immensely, with all of our electronic personal cutters, digital scrapbooking and the wide variety of companies, papers, embellishments, stamps and so on…..
I have been scrapbooking since 2006 and I can not remember there being so much to choose from, the companies have really stepped it up and almost made scrapbooking an art form.
As most of you know, I am a huge Silhouette Cameo lover, and every year at Christmas I try to do some fun things for the supper table as well as personal gifts. Last year I made this adorable little piece of pie for everyone, it was on their plate with a Lindor chocolate in it and their name tag.
This year I made everyone a little chocolate goody bag, filled with yummy chocolates to eat before the New Year when everyone attempts to lose weight, it never happens! lol
And for my sister I made her an over sized card from Silhouette, using the Cameo. It is a horse carousel and I added a couple of pictures of her and her horse. What a great gift, not only a card but a keepsake as well.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful, safe, and happy holiday. Here’s to 2014 and all the joy and happiness that it brings, from us at Paper Lane Studio to you x0x

Oh my goodness where do I start??? This new line from Graphic 45 is simply stunning!!The colors are so vibrant and the detail is amazing, we also have in house the Sweet Sentiments line.
|Graphic 45 Couture|
Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?? every sheet of paper is stunning, I’m not sure if we should scrap with it or just frame it and call it art!
I made a paper box, a Silhouette Cameo image, and used the Couture line. I added some bling, a fabric floral, some tulle and stick pins just to give it that nostalgic feel. Didn’t every hat back in that era have tulle? pins? possibly feathers….. hmmmmm just gave myself another idea!!!
and then inside is sectioned into 4 little spaces, great for a gift, some earrings….. the possibilities are endless.
I know this line will sell fast, don’t miss out on it! you will regret it, trust me lol
how heavenly is this line? perfect for a babies album, cards, maybe a baby shower or birthday party. Wowza it is so pretty!

All I can say is wow!! Bo Bunny’s Woodland Winter is stunning! the colours, the graphics, the double sided paper! wow!!
If you haven’t seen this paper line, you are in for a real treat! it really is exceptional. As I have said in past post, the major scrapbooking companies have really out done themselves this year!!
There are layered chipboard embellishments, stickers, buttons, the list goes on. But what I am most impressed with is the paper, we have 12 different papers in house, all double sided and thick.
We also have Authentique’s “ Smitten”, I’m in pink heaven with this line. It’s visually stunning, and as we have become accustomed to, Authentique’s paper quality is exceptional with this line.
Don’t miss out on these great lines, just in time for Christmas gift giving!! who wouldn’t love to see these wrapped up under the Christmas tree??
We have a wish list available, all you need to do is come in pick it up, fill it out and have your special Santa come in and pick it up and I will wrap everything so all it needs is to be put under the tree waiting for you to open it! Simple eh?
We have a shipment coming this week, more goodies just in time for the holidays, also look for the newest Graphic 45 lines coming soon.
