A Perfect Christmas Workshop

Our last workshop of 2017 was a big success! thanks to all 40+ ladies who joined us to get in the Christmas spirit.

In keeping with our last 3 Christmas workshops we created these beautifully hand cut blocks, thanks to my hubby for all his hard work ensuring that they were done correctly and the holes were drilled perfectly to hold a tea light!

We created these using Echo Park's "A Perfect Christmas" collection, what an amazing paper line! so festive and cute without being cutesy!

You can't have anything Christmas with out some foil and glitter! I used Tim Holtz"Script Holiday Words" die on all the projects for this workshop. A Tim Holtz tag stamped with wood grain on Kraft cardstock, finished with a cute holly berry accent from Silhouette Cameo.

Our 1st card featured Tim Holtz "Birch" die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and Dee's Distinctly "Deer" die, all set on Bazzill "French Cream" cardstock. We also added some red twine and again a red foiled sentiment.

One of my favourite cards to create is the Pyramid card, such a cute card that is interactive as well as fun for any occasion. Often referred as a Tepee card, its a great idea for a little boys birthday party as a tent!

This cute card has deer on every side, gold foiled sentiment and a cute twine bow. This card lays flat for shipping which makes it an even special card to send or to create as a table place setting for your Christmas table or for any occasion.

For all the ladies who attended the workshop I created a little tag for them to make and gift.

Wallpaper and

It’s finally time to let my big secret out!!

I was contacted by to see if I would be interested in designing something for them using some of their many beautiful wallpapers selections! I was so humbled to be asked by a company such as and I had to pinch myself a little bit considering all the blogs and crafters that they could have chosen from.

I chose 2 rolls of the wallpaper which included a Barn Board style and a Dogwood paper.

I decided for my first project that I would create a set of 4 x 4 Cedar Block candles, using both wallpapers on each side of the candles. From there, I added some wide ribbon, some metal accents and some handmade Flowering Dogwood flowers along with a tag tied on with brown twine. I envisioned my bathroom walls dressed in the wallpaper and thought what better way to relax in the tub with the Tea Lights lit!!

Next, I created a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout using the Barn Board paper. I had a beautiful picture of Peggy’s Cove and thought what better picture to use, then one of Canada’s most iconic images! I went with a nautical theme, using burlap ribbon, more metals, tags and included some Flowering Dogwood flowers. I distressed the edges of the wallpaper, which wasn’t as easy as I would have thought LOL and then stitched the wallpaper to cardstock for stability.

-Next, I created 2 cards using the Dogwood wallpaper. For my 1st card, I used a fold out card by Heartfelt Creations dressed in the Dogwood wallpaper. In keeping with the Dogwood theme, I created clusters of Flowering Dogwoods to accent this card with a cute tag.

-For my 2nd card, I once again used the Dogwood wallpaper as my background and added the Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwoods. I created a cluster of flowers and included a sentiment tag. This special card will be sent to Sarah from as a thank you.

So, remember ladies if you have left over wallpaper from a home reno; create something pretty to add to your home d├ęcor or create a card or layout with the left-over paper.
I can not express my excitement, honour and privilege to have been asked to do this for such a huge company! This article will be on their sites, blog and newsletters, where you will be able to link back to my blog.

In closing, I hope you enjoyed looking at my creations. I have included the link below to:

Congratulations to all the other bloggers who joined me in this article.

Fall Handbag and Card Workshop

Hi everyone, I hope that your last day of August is filled with smiles and lots of crafting!!

I wanted to share the pictures from our Fall Handbag and Card Workshop. We had such a wonderful day creating this beautiful Fall Handbag with 6 cards.

We created these beautiful cards and the handbag with the Echo Park "Fall is in the Air" collection and Bazzill cardstock in Whirlpool and Brown.

Some of the cards look familiar as these were my most requested for another class, especially the waterfall interactive card with the super cute animal stamps. Twisted Easel was the next most requested as well as the Double Z card.

This is definitely a great gift for a teacher, doctor, or special person in your life.
